Rocs on DopaNite

Rocs:We stand here today and wonder how we've reached this far, because nothing about our journey was gentle. The world might have seen us with light shining on us already, but before their eyes found us,we were like seeds trying to break through concrete, reaching out for the sun, and you can imagine how hard that was. And people look at us now and see a people doing somehow okay, but only the drum. The drum only knows the pain its skin carried, before the world danced to its sound. but before there are very many things we lost along the way that you don't see, the people, the dreams, the innocence itself, the very many versions of ourselves that didn't survive the journey. To us, we tried almost every bit of the hustle, to reach where we are right now. And only those that were there at the right moment with us, can testify to this.

Each time life closed a door on us, we tried by all means to create a window out of the wall using our bare hands. We didn't allow our energy to be idle, and look where we are right now. We are not even done yet, not even half the journey, we have not reached the mountain even. We are only so far at the cliff that we fall to climb, still fighting to exist in a system that was never meant to hold our dreams. but I can only confirm to this nation, we did not come this far to fade right now, we are finishing what those before us began, and before that, comfort has no invitation in our lives. For we know the highest peaks of the mountains, are reached upon by only those who climb steadily, we shall touch Margherita, conquer Kilimanjaro and reach Mountain Everest.
