I don't know whether it is laziness or the obsession with being innovative but there is a way we are failing to solve existing problems, answer existing questions, or engage with real disagreements, and instead spend our energy creating solutions to problems that do not exist, answers to questions nobody asked, and arguments against positions nobody holds.
Once we are overwhelmed by what we've created, we begin to create conflicts, problems, & questions to get a sense of achievement without doing any actual work. We create imaginary opponents and haters, we congratulate ourselves for winning arguments that nobody made and award ourselves medals for winning battles that never happened. 😂 😂
Maybe that's why content creators begin with, "A lot of you have been asking...", when no one asked anything; "Nobody talks about this...", when everyone has been talking about it for years; or "I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this...", when nobody is even planning to listen.
