Now, I don't know whether I am going off topic here, but the thing is...
We have been made to believe that life , when simplified in simple terms, is just a constant struggle for balance between the YANG and the YIN.
We have also got accustomed to get motivation from the existence of both, the light and dark and I think it has become our way of life; to an extent that oftentimes, we may make a statement like:
"Without evil, then it would be impossible to acknowledge the existence of good"
because we need a villain in order to see who a hero is!
Now, I'm not saying that that's the only way to go, but I think that it is the only way that we know and which we are ready to follow (without question) and it would take a lot of un-learning to start seeing things from another point of view.
So when someone starts to think about profit and loss at the same time, they're merely considering "both sides of the coin" and honestly, I wouldn't blame them for that, NOPE!
