I used to be so irritated by people who complained about the cost of everything. You pour one extra spoon of sugar and suddenly they start, “Do you know how much sugar costs these days?”
And I would be thinking, Will this spoon magically extend the sugar for another month? Calm down.
But then I told myself, Maybe when I grow up and start spending my own money, I will finally understand them. Maybe I will even complain more.
So I grew up. I now spend my own money and honestly, I still don’t get it.
It turns out it was never about budgeting. It’s just a habit. A mindset of scarcity. And yes, it still annoys me.
Yes, I run out of things and there are dry moments. But that doesn’t mean I will hold onto a drop of water like it is an ocean. I swallow the drop and hope for the best. 😂😂
