So, if the authority in question is such a “control freak,” wouldn’t the gullible followers be the playground of the authority's terror?
Why is it the so-called “brave” who are always seeing the most danger, running the hardest, and shouting the loudest? How are the ones who claim to be free the most scared, and the ones who submit at peace?
We tend to forget that power comes with responsibility but also a whole lot of privileges. That’s why it is pursued with so much intensity. Money, fame, love we seek, to lead to us to this same end, power. Any form of authority lets you make decisions in your interest and for those under you.
We want systems to bend to us without doing the work that gives others the power to make us bend.
In life, you get authority two ways, you submit and wait for it to be given or you challenge it if you think you can.
But with God? I haven’t seen anyone pick option two and come out with victory. Not even once. 😂
