“In our quest to find the relationship between consciousness and reality we must necessarily pose the question why anything exists at all, instead of there simply being nothing.

Nothing can exist for you that does not have a specific effect upon you. And without having an effect upon someone else, neither can it exist for them. Turn your back towards any object you previously had in view and what happens? That’s right, the object simply disappears! Actually, the object remains in existence, but for you it becomes non-existent at that moment.

Now, that is true on the physical level of existence as well as on the spiritual plane, your consciousness being the knob of attunement.

We know that whatever we seek to comprehend reaches us physically through the five senses – sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste. And that which is perceived is that which is real – to us.”

The belief in religious pluralism is the first step toward absconding from truth as there can only be one arbiter of truth.

It's fascinating how much we can accomplish is we dared to challenge every risk, every voice screaming impossible, with every resource available and by pushing against the lack of concrete belief. That was how cantalivers, bridges, planes and every magnificent creation came to be.

The folly of many “believers” is the redundant embrace of religious syncretism.

I can’t imagine but I guess it goes back to them perceiving the Bible as being contradictory and insufficient, which it obviously isn’t, and so they adopt whatever ‘truths’ traditional religions and agnosticism avail.

Sometimes, I think it’s out of the need to fit into the status quo where religious fanaticism is abhorred.

It's said that, “Power corrupts”. This will hold true but what of the uncorrupted? If it isn't universal, should it be considered truth still? Shouldn't truth be universal and constant—absolute rather than empirical? Or do we mistakenly refer to patterns of probability as truth?

A rather popular irony of life amongst religious moralists is how they criticize and demonize prosperity if preached yet work tirelessly, committing their lives and time to attaining it. A typical contradiction of idealized values and practical aspirations.

In a speech, Rowan Atkinson argued that the law should not be aiding and abating intolerance. But should it be used to do so, then the words of Csl. Robert Kirunda are fulfilled, where he says, “The law is a double crosser. It soon catches up with those that passed it.”

I was in Mbarara town last week and a Google Maps notification came in saying, “Did you know that Ntungamo town is 64 km away? Do you want to visit?” Out of curiosity, I got a taxi and off I went. Upon reaching Ntungamo town, the Maps said, “Kabale in 72km away.” Excited this time, I immediately got a taxi to Kabale. When I got there and, another notification came saying, “Kigali is 104km away.” I knew I can easily be kidnapped, so I grabbed a bus back to Mbarara.😅

I avoid politicians who use the "muntu wa wansi" campaign slogan on purpose. They'll usually offer mediocrity because that's what the majority of those they represent identify as and with. They will promise the best, but to them, a rental converted into a clinic is a hospital.

There's a sharp a lingering cognitive dissonance and the comfort of collective belief amongst those opposed to conspiracy theories (they taint the term is a fallacy—untrue, unreliable and therefore, harmful so they can isolate the dissenters). These people often reject what's inconvenient or disruptive to their worldview, even if it holds some truth—especially when it comes from fringe or unpopular voices (the indifferent minority). Meanwhile, they accept mainstream narratives, not necessarily because they are more truthful, but because they’re more palatable, endorsed by authority, and rarely challenge their biases. The contradiction lies in ridiculing skepticism while blindly revering influence.

Some people make the case of voting for leaders based on relatability to life experiences—a from grass to grace life experience. However, I wonder why that can be the basis for voting anyone into office—the relatability to their rise from relative obscurity. It should be ridiculous for a people to mediocrity and it's fruits of perpetual failure to this as its best alternative leadership.

Doesn't this appeal to only a portion of the electorate and alienate those who see no relatability? If no real policies are the basis, again, doesn't the appeal to a specific majority—if prevalent in an election—become their tyranny against the indifferent minority?

We often fear words because they affect how we feel, or others may feel, yet there is much more potency in them–than the mere emotional impact–to influence life.
